Standalone Radar Calibration

The corner reflector cone works by reflecting radar signals back to the vehicle’s sensor at a known angle, allowing the Autel MaxiSYS software to guide the technician through a precise calibration procedure. Because it doesn’t mount to a fixed rig, it can be used in a wider range of workshop environments and is particularly suited to mobile ADAS technicians.

When Is Radar Calibration Required?

Radar sensor recalibration is required after any front or rear bumper removal, radar unit replacement, wheel alignment work, or front-end collision repair. Failure to recalibrate can result in incorrect operation of safety-critical systems such as automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control.
